Many adults prefer Invisalign to traditional braces for a few main reasons:
- It’s clear! If you’ve been worried about how you will look with braces on, there’s no need to fret – Invisalign is a thin, clear plastic that covers the teeth and is not noticeable! There are no brackets, no wires, no colors!
- It’s removable! Dr. Soleil will request that you wear your Invisalign aligners 22 hours per day, removing them to eat and brush. But…if you have a special occasion, are giving a speech, going on a date (you get the idea)…just pop them out and you’re back to your normal teeth!
- You can clean your teeth! We mean really clean your teeth – with a normal toothbrush and floss. Your hygienist will also be very happy to not have to clean around those braces!
- It acts as a night guard! This is especially important for patients that grind their teeth at night. Though the Invisalign might not stop the grinding itself (try yoga or red wine to relax instead!), it will protect your teeth from further damage.
How Invisalign® treatment works

At Soleil Orthodontics, we use state-of-the-art techniques to get you the results you want. With our brand-new TRIOS digital scanner, we can create a highly-accurate digital model of your teeth (no more gooey, yucky impressions!) which we use to customize your Invisalign treatment. Dr. Soleil will design a series of aligners that are changed weekly over the course of treatment to gradually straighten your teeth. You will see us in the office every 8-10 weeks on average, which is less frequent than with braces.
