- Ceramic or clear braces: The next best options if an adolescent isn’t a good candidate for Invisalign are ceramic or clear braces. Ceramic braces are tooth-colored and the brackets and wires blend into the enamel. Clear braces have clear brackets and wires, similar to Invisalign except the hardware is bonded in place for the duration of treatment.
- Conventional braces: Some teens are eager to get their braces on and they don’t care who sees them. They embrace the metal mouth and show off what they have going on. They love the colorful rubber bands that are changed regularly, giving them the chance to reflect their favorite colors, favorite sports team, school colors, holidays, or otherwise.
